Babes Ride Out Scheduled to Return to Borrego Springs in April

Babes Ride Out, a women-focused motorcycle event, is scheduled to take place in Borrego Springs from April 24 to April 26. The event will be hosted at the Palm Canyon Hotel and RV Resort, which has been fully reserved for attendees during that time.

Babes Ride Out began in Borrego Springs in 2013 and has since expanded to additional locations nationally and internationally. Borrego Springs continues to host one of the organization’s annual gatherings.

Babes Ride Out and Its History in Borrego Springs

Babes Ride Out began in Borrego Springs in 2013 when founders Ashmore Ellis and Anya Violet invited a small group of women riders to camp and ride together in the desert. What started as a gathering of about 75 participants quickly grew, with Borrego Springs becoming closely associated with the event’s early identity. Over the years, Babes Ride Out expanded to additional locations across the United States and internationally, but Borrego Springs has remained one of its original and recurring host communities.

Event Overview for Residents and Visitors

During the event weekend, Borrego Springs typically experiences an increase in visitor activity. Attendees often stay locally and spend time dining at restaurants, shopping, visiting art installations, hiking nearby trails, and traveling throughout town.

Most organized event activities are centered at the Palm Canyon Hotel and RV Resort, which helps keep the majority of activity contained to one location while still supporting surrounding businesses.

Borrego Springs Rotary will bring the Roaring Twenties to La Casa del Zorro for its annual community fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027. Each February, the greater Rotary family gathers for one of its most important fundraisers of the year, raising funds to support programs and projects that benefit the Borrego Springs community. Last year’s Mardi Gras celebration drew 110 supporters for an evening of food, fun, raffles and auctions. Their generosity helped Rotary fund 30 student scholarships, send local students to leadership development programs, provide a Christmas toy for every child in Borrego Springs, and award 18 community grants. This season, Rotary is trading Mardi Gras for the glamour of the Roaring Twenties. The 2027 Rotary Annual Fundraiser Dinner will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at La Casa del Zorro, with a Roaring Twenties Speakeasy theme, complete with Prohibition-era cocktails and period-inspired cuisine. Guests are encouraged to “throw on your glad rags” and join Rotary for what organizers promise will be a festive evening — all in support of programs that directly benefit the community. Save the date: Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027. Additional details, including ticket information, will be announced as the event approaches.
