December 14-28, 2024: BORREGO ART INSTITUTE POTTERY DEPARTMENT ANNUAL SALE


Featuring wonderful ceramic work by our local potters, and just in time for holiday shopping.


December 14, 2024-January 26, 2025: A SHOW OF CONTEMPORARY LATIN AMERICAN ART


Selected works of art by artists of Latino heritage or art that has been strongly influenced by the Latino culture. Opening reception with Mariachi music, January 4, 2025, 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Work accepted December 7 & 8, 2024, 10:30 to 2:30. Limit of 2 pieces of art per artist.


January 4-26, 2025: INSPIRING DESERTSCAPES


A Collection of New Paintings of the Desert by Jose Luis Nunez. In the North Gallery. Showing in conjunction with the Latin American Art show. Opening reception January 4, 2025, 3:00-5:00 pm.


February 1-23, 2025: ABF ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST Exhibit

February 1-23, 2025: THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY


A show of photographic art. Opening reception February 1, 2025, 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Work will be accepted January 25 and 26 in the gallery, 10:30 to 2:30. There will be an entry fee for nonmembers of BAI of $15 per submitted work of art, and a limit of 2 pieces per artist.


February 1-23, 2025: THE WHIMSICAL ART OF SAUL MILLER, A 20-Year Retrospective


From politics to tourists and beyond, Saul’s cartoon art always makes a statement. Twenty years’ worth of delightful, sometime controversial, paintings will be on display in the Alcove Gallery. Opening reception February 1, 2025, 5:00 to 7:00 pm.


March 3-April 27, 2025: 19th ANNUAL PLEIN AIR INVITATIONAL


The Plein Air Invitational starts with a weeklong paint out event, March 3-8, featuring 14 invited artists to paint en plein air culminating in a judging of work and awards. Work will continue to hang in the gallery through April 27. Reception and awards to be held March 8, 2025, 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

This grant offers $1,000–$4,000 in financial assistance to help cover education-related expenses. The deadline to apply is November 15 .
