East County Performing Arts Association unveils six shows for its fifth season in Julian.

The East County Performing Arts Association has unveiled the Julian Performing Arts 2026–2027 Season, featuring six productions that span classical music, comedy, holiday favorites, and Broadway. The fifth season offers a diverse lineup of performances designed to entertain audiences throughout the year.

 Cellissimo Alone
A special performance featuring a virtuoso cellist.


October 16–25, 2026
 The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
A spooky comedy inspired by Washington Irving's classic tale.


December 11–19, 2026
 A Christmas Carol
The timeless Charles Dickens holiday classic returns to the Julian stage.


February 12–21, 2027
 The Savannah Sipping Society
A heartwarming comedy about friendship, laughter, and second chances.


May 7–16, 2027
 Greater Tuna
A hilarious satire celebrating the colorful characters of small-town Texas.


July 16–25, 2027
 Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Stephen Sondheim's award-winning Broadway musical closes the season.

Heatwave Pool Party Returns for an Evening of Music, Swimming, and Summer Fun Looking for a unique way to celebrate Independence Day in Borrego Springs? The Palms at Indian Head is hosting its annual Heatwave Pool Party on Saturday, July 4, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. , inviting guests to enjoy an evening of swimming, music, and poolside fun at one of the community's most iconic destinations. Known for its mid-century modern architecture and rich Hollywood history, The Palms at Indian Head has welcomed visitors to Borrego Springs for decades. Today, the boutique hotel continues to blend its historic charm with new experiences, including the recently opened Dive Bar, the award-winning Coyote Steakhouse, and special community events throughout the year. This year's adults-only celebration encourages guests to bring a swimsuit and towel and enjoy the Olympic-size pool under the desert evening sky.
