Help a Local Nursing Student Stay in School

Strengthening Health Care in Borrego Springs
Borrego Springs faces ongoing challenges in access to health care, and supporting local students pursuing medical careers is one way to address that need. A recent Borrego Springs High School graduate is currently enrolled in nursing school but is at risk of not being able to continue due to tuition and required fees. This fundraiser is focused on helping that student remain in school so financial barriers do not interrupt their path into the health care field.
Community-led support
“I’m Chesney Hoagland-Fuchs, and I’m reaching out to support our Borrego Springs community,” said Hoagland-Fuchs. “We need more health care workers here. While many of us feel the pressure of the economy, we shouldn’t allow it to derail a nursing career our community will depend on.”
Tuition need
The goal is to raise
$4,000 to cover tuition and required school fees.
All donations are
tax deductible.
Fund management
The Borrego Ministers Association has agreed to manage the fund and ensure payments are disbursed directly to the student. If donations exceed the $4,000 goal, remaining funds will be directed to the Borrego Ministers Association general fund to support its ongoing community programs and assistance efforts.
Why this matters
The Borrego Ministers Association supports individuals and families in Borrego Springs through coordinated aid, emergency assistance, and community outreach. Helping a local nursing student continue their education supports both immediate educational needs and the long-term health of the Borrego Springs community.
Every contribution helps sustain local health care capacity and community well-being.
