Honoring Maria at Hacienda Borrego

Share

A Story of Loyalty, Heart, and Hospitality in Borrego Springs

Every once in a while, someone gets publicly thanked in a way that says it all. That’s exactly what happened when the owners of Hacienda Borrego shared a heartfelt tribute to Maria—the woman who’s been there since day one.

In their words:

“All she had was our word that when we open, she will always have a place here.”

It’s not often you see this kind of public appreciation in the hospitality world, but when it shows up, it’s worth highlighting.

From Hacienda Borrego:

🙏 Appreciation Post 🙏
"Years ago when we wanted to take on this project, one lady stood beside us and believed in the vision. All she had was our word that when we open, she will always have a place here.
Fast forward to 17 open rooms and many phases of renovation later, there’s still only one Maria. Some of us call her La Jefa, but most know her as Maria.
This lady is the backbone of our daily operations and although we love you @treecircle this one’s for Maria.
Thank you for all you do and being by our side. None of this would be possible without you.
We appreciate you
Fun fact: if you’ve ever stayed with us and seen the paper towel artwork, this is the master behind that as well."
